Easter 2013

The Easter Bunny sure took care of us this year!

Mike and I went on a trip with my brother Ryan right after we were first married to Twin Falls, Idaho. We had such a riot. Ever since we've been looking for a chance to take another little jaunt into Idaho with my bro. It was a bit different speed since the last time since now we were toting a potty training 3-year-old and nursing 3-month-old. Surprisingly we ALL did swimmingly and had so much fun. I was a little nervous to travel to Yellowstone. I had a scary experience there when I was 6, but Mike begged and pleaded since he had never been before. I'm so glad we went. I think the end of May is a perfect weather time to go. Here's a few of my favorite pictures.

We saw thousands of buffalo/bison (with their babies). We also saw 3 bears & 2 cubs, an eagle, marmots, coyotes, and an owl. My favorite was watching S with his toy binoculars trying to spy wildlife.

Three...It can't be!

I can't believe this big boy is three. S is on a Disney Cars kick! So for his birthday everything had to be CARS. We celebrated with both sets of grandparents. We actually went out of town for Memorial Day weekend to Yellowstone. So we drove all day just to get home to party.

Side note...I love this boy! He is such an awesome big brother. He is intensely creative and full of vim and vinegar (as the bishop says). He is fiercely loyal to his daddy. Even when he's a punk, I can't stay mad for long. He is so clever in his reasoning for getting what he wants. I can't believe how much he's grown. He starts swim lessons next week and preschool in August. I just need time. to. stop. right. now!

Last Day of School/ Mike's Birthday

It's probably bitter sweet for Mike that his birthday always falls on the last day of school. For one, everyone is celebrating that school's out. But on the other hand, nobody focuses on his birthday. Unluckily, now that I'm a teacher the curse still befalls him. We still tried to make it special for him. The boys and I wrote 28 reasons on tags attached to balloons of why we love him and made him special birthday pancakes along with getting him his new tennis racket. Not a bad way to wake up.

Look at these little goonies! It was sure a crazy year with these little nut balls, but I'm going to miss each and every one of them.

BPE's fabulous first grade team! A special shout out to my "partner." I'm so blessed and lucky to work part-time with Mrs. D. She took care of the class (with the help of the amazing Cheryl) when I was on maternity leave. Sure do love ya!!!
