The first grade parents in my class threw me a baby shower! It was, without a doubt, one of the nicest gestures I have ever received. I didn't even know what to say, except 'thank you' a million times over. There were 1st grade games (name Mrs. Head's baby, baby animals, and guess the M&M's in the baby bottle), the students knotted a fleece blanket for the baby, there was cake and punch (purchased by one of my student's high school age brother who volunteers in class occasionally), and lots of presents. My favorite comment from one of my students was, "Boy, Mrs. Head, you sure are spoiled!" I agree! I've been spoiled with the best student parents this year! I feel like a million bucks!!!
