We love our beautiful new boy...we just celebrated his 11th day, but it feels like he's been with us forever! He is definitely a healthy chunker..last Friday he had already passed his birth weight- 9 lb. 14 oz. We're relieved he's doing so well, especially because he gave us such a great scare when he was born.

Labor was long but relatively a breeze for me. Because Stockton was so big, I was afraid I would have to have a c-section. Luckily, my midwife stuck with me and Stockton and his big head (no pun intended ;0) made it. I got to hold him for only like 12 seconds before Mike rushed with him to the transition nursery. He wasn't breathing very well and he was pasty white. It looked really bad because he had a "birth blister" on his head, too. The next time I saw him (2 hours later) he was all wired up- oxygen, an i.v., sad! They told us it would be the NICU or our room. I felt very blessed when they brought him to me at 2 in the morning.

Since then, he's been on the mend. We had to deal with jaundice. He had a billy blanket that made him light up like Iron Man, but that's in check now. There is no sign of his nasty birth blister either. He is a really adventurous newborn (aka.WiGgLy). He loves his hands by his head, looks just like his amazing daddy, and we love him with all our hearts!!!
